Greetings, I've been out of the PS world for about 18 months - I used to use a neat piece of example code which was a PS header which you pre-pended to an Ascii file and sent to a PS printer. The code in the header read the reminder of the file line by line and kept track of the page position printing 66 lines per page ala "line printer" format. Anyone still have this? Alternately, anyone have an example of a simple file read - e.g. after a "%start-data" line? Thanks, Bill D

I have two such beasts - one emulating a "dumb" line printer which only knows about LF, CR, FF, and TAB as "control characters", and a second one that interpretes the ASA print control characters well known in the mainframe world. In both cases a couple of page attributes are configurable. Drop me an e-mail if you are interested (both are GPLed). Helge
