Hello Postscript Gurus, I need to create a "form overlay" for a Canon IR-110 Postscript Printer. My particular form happens to be a graphic (jpeg) image which repeats on every page of a customized mail merge letter. Sometime this image will be a letterhead while other times it will be a signature. Can you tell me the best approach to resolving this task? As a new member to this forum please forgive me if this question has already been addressed. I would appreciate a pointer to the answer in the archives if it exists. Best regards, Greg

You accomplish this, in PostScript, with a "form dictionary". The form dictionary must contain a /PaintProc entry, which is a procedure to mark the page. With a JPEG, you can use the DCTDecode filter. To make the image data reusable, you need to use the SubFileDecode and ResuableStreamDecode filters. Thomas D. Greer <http://www.tgreer.com>
