Hi, We have lot of EPS in our PostScript file. All of these images get repeated over and over again. Is there some way to have these image (eps) files as an external resource ? So that, only when the PostScript is getting printed, these images are picked up from the given location. These images can also be seen when the PostScript is being viewed in the some PS viewer. Or. is there some way where we define the images as procedures (or something similar) and we reuse the same image all over the file ? Please let me know. Any help is appericiated. Regards, Shantanu Kulkarni.

Yes. For external reference to an EPS file, use the "run" operator. For performance caching, use the PostScript "form dictionary" construct. You can combine these two. Thomas D. Greer www.tgreer.com
