We are making windows application to save our data file(text file) as EPS file with font information. We insert font information in EPS file, in one byte font, it is distilled well in Adobe distiller. but in two byte font, it cause font missing error. So we debug and debug in several ways, it still did not work.@.@ Is there anyone to know how to insert two byte font information in EPS file in postscript language? I hope if there is some...

Well, some people do, but it isn't a procedure that can be summarised in a few words. You would create a composite font (type 0) with a suitable mapping; or a CIDFont with CMap. Is that what you are doing? What you certainly CANNOT do is take code intended for 1-byte fonts like /Helvetica findfont 12 scalefont setfont (ABC) show and just use 2-byte encoding in the string instead. Aandi Inston

Thank you for your concern...^^ Could you tell us how to use 2-byte encoding? We can not find any sample about this... Kwak SangHoon

The PostScript Reference manual has full details. We can perhaps help you with some of the details, but there is a large amount to be done. CID fonts are the currently recommended way; be sure you have the Third Edition of the manual, which describes them. Aandi Inston

Composite fonts, and CID-keyed fonts, page 357 to 390. Plus separate documents with more details, referenced. You will need to parse the TrueType font (or font collection) and turn it to a CID font. So you will probably need the TrueType font specification too. Aandi Inston
