hello

can any one tell me that is there a way that i can generate an table of contents automatically with page numbers and section numbers.

i-e i write a document in pdf and then on opening the document it would include a table of contents at the begining of document.
just like we can do with ms word.

There aren't any tools to do this in PostScript.
You might find a plug-in to do this in PDF, check out the listings on
http://www.planetpdf.com/, but I wouldn't be hopeful.
