Hi,
I added this code to the epilogue.ps in order to insert a JavaScript function at document-level:
[ /_objdef {TMScript} /type /dict /OBJ pdfmark
[ {TMScript} << /JavaScript << /Names [ (docoly) << /S /JavaScript /JS (this.disclosed = true;) >> ]
>> >>
/PUT pdfmark
[ {Catalog} << /Names {TMScript} >> /PUT pdfmark
Now, if I print my document to Distiller (creating a PS-file) from FrameMaker7 with "Create Acrobat Data" disabled, everything works as intended. But if I enable Acrbat Data in order to also create bookmarks, no JavaScript function is added.
Does anybody know why this is and how I could overcome this?
Thanks in advance
Tobias

Does Distiller give you any error messages? Or does the JavaScript simply not work? (What is this JavaScript supposed to do?) Rick

Hi Rick, There are no error messages. The problem is not that the JavaScript is not working. The thing is, there is no JavaScript in the final PDF document (if "Create Acrobat Data" is enabled). Tobias

Sorry, but I'm no help. I do a lot with pdfmark, and I use some JavaScript to do some batch processing with PDF files. But I've never tried to combine the two. Rick

Where is this use of "docoly" documented? I've never seen this before. Aandi Inston

Aandi, "docoly" is the name of the Acrobat-JavaScript-Function at document level, so it could be any name. As I said, if "Generate Acrobat Data" is unchecked, everything works fine. That is, the final PDF has a document-level-function called "docoly" that sets this.disclosed to true. Tobias

Ah. I think the problem is that Frame will already have created the /Names entry in the document root, containing the /Dests name tree. It is not clear how you can coexist with this. Aandi Inston

Doesn't look too good. Anyway, thank you, Rick and Aandy, for your time. Tobias
