what is the Postscript code for adding a solid (or process) spot color, this spot color (in a ps file) must survive a conversion to PDF. and .. when you open the PDF file in Illustrator and select the Pantonized object, the color palette will show the right color Pantone. Thank you

The hardest part is designing the tint transform function, used to view on screen or print composite. Aandi Inston

I donοΏ½t know how to handle the separations, but the "tint transform" is here in the PS code: <http://www.fho-emden.de/~hoffmann/hungams17042004.pdf> Input is L*a*b* (now standard for spot), output is XYZ, which is correctly interpreted as L*a*b* by Photoshop. For the simulation of a spot color by CMYK I would use either a swatch book or Pantone Color Cue (instrument). Then "setcmykcolor" as usual. Best regards --Gernot Hoffmann
