I am sending ps files to printer in large qty's for printing and each page is sent as a spearate job which takes a long time to print. There is a piece of code that allows a print qty to be inserted into the ps document and then it prints in one job very fast but if we use the staple command it skips or ignores the staple the command and prints a 4 page doc without stapling it. So if we send a qty for 500 of a 4 page doc it should staple every 4th page, it does not but is sent to the printer as one request for 500. The way it works now is if there would be 500 separate print jobs in queue for 4 pages each job and it of course prints each 4th page. It is a canon 105 printer Any help would be appricated. Thanks Michael

Try to get information from the printer vendor on implementation specific details (for Adobe-licensed RIPs, there is always a "PostScript supplement for xxxx" which you should get from the vendor). Stapling sets within a job is a highly implementation specific feature; some printers provide such a facility, others do not.
