Gents, I'm planning to upgrade my dearly loved SGI workstation to a PC or a Mac (who would have imagined that a few years ago), 'cause I can't get any 3rd party software update. I'll need a PS viewer and I wonder whether Acrobat 6 can do this favour for me or I'll have to convert PS stuff to pdf first? Currently I have an ancient "xpsview" from Adobe but I don't think that such a thing is available in the PC or Mac world. Thanks Miklos

Acrobat can help but only, as you surmise, by converting PostScript to PDF. But this can be pretty seamless, with the file distilling then opening in Acrobat to view. Aandi Inston

That's fine with single page documents. I only fear of having to wait for Acrobat to distill 100 pages before I get to see the first one. Thanks Miklos

It's pretty quick these days (that is, on today's systems). And once it's a PDF, navigation is almost instant. Aandi Inston
