We are scanning all our color advertisement positives through Eskofot scanner with Lineart composite CMYK EPS format. These advertisements are cropped through Perfection with color CMYK format. While taking the output of EPS file in PS/M 7.0 (Scitex) Rip, PS/M Rip considers these scanned advertiements as CT. These advertisements are scanned in 1270 dpi. Since PS/M Rip has resolution 308 dpi for CT, these advertiements are outputted in 308 dpi which means we are getting pattern in the output. If you can help us to identify the problem, it is grateful. Kumar Shanmugam

Kumar I haven't worked with Eskofot, Perfection or the PS/M RIP, so I can only speculate. In your situation, I would open the scans in PhotoShop, descreen, reduce the resolution from 1270 to 308, then unsharp mask the image. This should probably be scriptable.
