Hi,
I've got this problem and I think it's cause by render.
When I'm adding clips into timeline they don't have that red bar (mean they not render) and when I try to preview them they aren't playing smoothly. It looks like they droping frames or something. I'm using .wmv clips if this matters...
Maybe this is fault of real-time preview option in Pro which I cannot disable.
Whem I'm adding some effects to clips render bar appears and after doing ernder everythig going fine.

Thanks for all answers...

Could you be more accurate in your answer? There's 250 questions and I read them casually but still don't have idea about my problem...

#84 is about importing various formats into Premiere and I don't have problem with it. It imports .wmv files directly.

I've got problem with preview them when they are added into timeline. Or maybe you want to say that I have to convert them into some other format?

WNV files are not for editing, they are for viewing. Either convert them or get the original footage. If you own the footage it ought to be easy enough to get the original. If a customer gave you the footage that way, ask for the original tapes.
