Everytime successive time I render and output to a dv avi uncompressed file, my video seems to look worse and worse. Is there any reason this is happening and anyway to avoid it. My first output a long time ago was sharp and clear, and now the outputs seem to look more grainy and with more artifacts. Thanks, Neal

a dv avi uncompressed file
DV is not uncompressed. But it should stay unchanged (compared to the original) in those parts that haven't got any transitions or effects etc. applied to them. A very small amount of quality degradation is unavoidable in parts that have transitions or effects applied.
Your workflow should be to do all editing on the original from start to finish and then output to a DV AVI. If you edit a bit, write a DV AVI file, use that file to edit some more, and you keep on repeating that process then you are layering successive steps of degradation.
