and which aren't? i added some files to the project earlier on and then decided i didn't need them in it however the rendered versions in my adobe folder still remain there but as the file names are just jumbled digits how am i to know which ones to get rid of? (i currently have about 32mb of drive space on my drive C because of these massive files that i'm not even using!) is there a way of clearing previously rendered files from the computer that aren't in the project any more? thanks. sorry if you've seen this already elsewhere, i was informed to post it here. thanks.

Close PPro and you can safely delete all the CFA files. When you next open the project PPro will recreate only the ones it needs.
