actually it's a little weirder than that... it's a Win 98 machine first of all, my mistake, I get confused which machine I working on sometimes :( 
Secondly, it's acting sporadic and now Quark just failed printing a file. So maybe reinstalling would be worth a try. 

On top of all that, it's a new system that I just got together (Asus A7V333 MB, AMD Athlon XP 2200+, 512 MB DDR RAM, etc) and it hasn't been real stable yet. Sometimes it's hard to know if it's system glitches or what. I can print consistently to the Epson driver though.
