thanks Harron, I'm doing exactly that as we speak... I also noticed that the normal full install included stuff that is not needed and possibly conflicting, ie. Acrobat 4, Adobe Circulate, Create PDF.... So I installed it minimally... now I go looking on Adobe for the files needed for the Epson 1270 and it looks like they're well hidden or not available anymore??? I've got an .exe on disc so I'll continue to use that. On other fronts the computer is more stable after shutting off some of the bios power management options... Just another sunny fall day :) ~m
