In the past (on a Windows ME installation) I have used Distiller Printer Driver to generate a PS file. I have done this to control the RIP graphic settings.

Then I have gone into the PressReady folder and used PrintPS to convert using the "Create Adobe PDF" as the printer.

In Windows XP I cannot get PrintPS to build a PDF, but it will print the PS file to the HP1220C PressReady Postscript Driver.

When I try to use "Create Adobe PDF" Print driver from "Adobe PressReady PrintPS 1.0" program I get the following error message:

An Error occured while initializing the print session

Any Idea why this I cannot generate a PDF from a PS file using "Adobe PressReady PrintPS 1.0"?

By the way if I use "Create Adobe PDF" printer Driver from Word 2002 it works fine (but some of my VISIO 2002 fonts are gone hence I wanted to use Distiller Print Driver to control settings). Is there a setting I need to make in Distiller
