Levon Be aware that it can be tricky to start your own business while working for a shop in the same field. Easier if you are working prepress in a print shop, and freelancing design, or working design, and freelancing production. The trick is not to be competing against your employer. They tend to get upset about that, and may even help you kick off your business with a lawsuit. Best solution is when you can actually get your employer to be one of your customers ... doing excess work at home in your spare time, and then eventually going freelance. Just don't poach clients from the old company, for at least a year.
