I need to create a banded agate (like the rock) for a print project. I will be working in Photoshop CS3. Has anyone ever made a similar type look? I am not sure even where to start.

Or (seriously!) buy, borrow or rent a mineral sample and photograph or scan it. It will be more realistic and easier to do. Neil

John, Banded agate is a semi-precious stone that, when cut and polished looks a bit like the cross-section of a tree trunk, except in varied colors. The Rock of Gibraltar is unrelated. Neil
