Dear Helge, it is very kind of having done research to help me. I've just installed GS 8.54 and converted a file but alas, the problem reoccurs. I've updated the files: www.math.uni-mannheim.de/~meyer/sample.ps www.math.uni-mannheim.de/~meyer/sample.prn fitting to the actual version (8.54) in case you'd have another look. But please don't feel obliged to. I very much appreciated your help! With every good wish, Andy.
