When using the default PostScript printer driver on Windows XP (the joint "Adobesoft" one), installed Type1 fonts that have a built-in encoding different from WinAnsi, Symbol, or ZapfDingats (e.g. various pi fonts from various vendors) are not printed. Instead, all characters to be shown using these fonts are replaced by WinANsi-bullets (0x95, if I remember correctly) which in turn are replaced by .notdef in the PS RIP (as this glyph is neither encoded nor defined in the font in question). If I instead use a derivative of the NT4 Microsoft driver (the CUPS driver hacked by Easy Software Products), these fonts print as expected. The screen display is ok, by the way. Any clues?
