Your low-resolution problem has nothing to do with use of the Acrobat Distiller printer driver instance not doing the correct thing, but rather, your settings for that driver instance. With Acrobat 5.0.x, the Distiller's settings for job options are overriden by those set by the driver. You must set the driver properties for the job options that you want as well. Set those for Press and your problems should be resolved. - Dov
