Hopefully, you are really ACTUALLY running Acrobat 4.0.5, not 4.0. 4.0.5 was a free update from Adobe several years ago and was necessary for use of Acrobat on Windows 2000 or later (XP is later). Also, only Acrobat 5.0.5 is officially supported by Adobe for Windows XP and/or for Office XP. - Dov
