Since this an Acrobat issue, you should be posting this to the Acrobat forum. As far as I know, there is no invisible paragraph or charachter option in FrameMaker (any version)! You can make any text very small and you can have it match the color of the background paper (i.e., normally white), but there is no formal way to make it disappear. Thus, if you use hackery such as applying a style with miniscule point size and white color, the text is still there, although you might not see it on the FrameMaker screen and it might not result in marks on a printed page. What I really suspect is going on is that you have Acrobat running, you have the preferences set for greeking of text below a certain pointsize. Greeking is always done in Acrobat in gray. And if the text is very small, it will look like the strange lines you report. Go into the display preferences for Acrobat and turn off greeking entirely and the problem will go away. - Dov
