W2K problems printing to RIP50 Lino 330

I have a major problem sending files directly, or as postscript files from applications running under Windows 2000 to a RIP 50 Linotronic 330 Imagesetter. 
Windows 2000 of course is postscript level 3 and the RIP 50 is a postscript level 2. I work in printing and work with Pagemaker 7.0, and in doing color separations we do not get a rosette pattern on the film which is very important for 4 color work. 
Any ideas how to work around this problem.
