Actually, use of the Adobe Universal PostScript Driver Installer 1.0.6 has a tremendous benefit over using the "Add Printer" wizard of any version of Windows. The "Add Printer" wizard cannot add a printer based upon an arbitrary PPD file supplied by the user. It requires corresponding .inf files wired into the Windows system directory (don't do this at home!). And not all printers have that plumbing installed for the "Add Printer" wizard.
