PageMaker 6.5 is incompatible with Windows XP. The version of Distiller bundled with PageMaker 6.5 is incompatible with Windows XP. You need PageMaker 7.0.1 which comes bundled with Distiller 5.0.5. Adobe PressReady is not really Windows XP compatible although it possibly can be made to work in that environment. Hopefully, you didn't also install ATM 4.0. It is likewise incompatible with Windows XP (and 2000). Totally uninstall the PageMaker 6.5 and the Distiller and get the upgrades you need. - Dov
