The Linotronic 930 v 52.3 PPD is for a fifteen (at least) year old PostScript Level 1 device. Windows 2000 and XP do not support PostScript Level 1 output. Furthermore you should NEVER, repeat NEVER generate PostScript for distillation using anything other than the Acrobat Distiller PPD that comes with Acrobat. When Acrobat 6 is installed, a special PostScript printer driver instance, Adobe PDF is installed as well. Simply set the options for that driver instance to reflect your Distiller joboption requirements, print to that printer from your application, and PostScript will automatically be generated and distilled without your need to intervene. That is the way to do this, not hackery with ancient PostScript Level 1 PPDs for equally ancient devices. - Dov
