How to control location of PS file printed to disk

I've just installed a virtual printer to simulate distiller so I can get a ps file (local port/file). When I print it asks for the file name but doesn't prompt me for the location. It seems that it creates the ps wherever a file was most recently saved by whatever program saved last. How can I force it to create the file in a location of my choice.

Thanks,
John
