Adobe is not aware of any such problem as described on this thread. Although Windows XP comes with the identical driver that comes with the Adobe Universal PostScript Printer Driver Installer 1.0.6, the Adobe installer does provide an easy way to associate any arbitrary PPD file with the driver, a facility that does NOT exist with the Microsoft "Add Printer" wizard. Most problems that we are aware of in terms of installation have to do with attempting to run the installer as anything but a user with FULL "Administrator" privileges. (Note that some "IS" types muck around with their users' registries such that the Administrator account doesn't really have full Administrator privileges!) - Dov
