GhostScript does not use Display PostScript. It contains a PostScript
interpreter of its own (that's why it has hundreds of thousands of
lines of code). There never was a Display PostScript for Windows, so
far as I know, the TCP/IP support wasn't advanced enough at the time
DPS was being promoted.

Another approach is to use Acrobat Distiller to convert the PostScript
to PDF, and then use Acrobat Reader to view the file.

There are other PostScript interpreters that can display on screen.
GhostScript is free for non-commercial use; all others are not. In
roughly increasing order of cost you have GhostScript, Jaws,
Harlequin, Adobe CPSI. At the top end you will be looking at 6-7
figure licensing fees and in all cases for commercial use per-copy
royalties.
