There has been no significant change in the operation of the Windows 2000/XP PostScript drivers, at least with regards to the performance aspect of the generated PostScript, since Windows 2000 was released. As Aandi indicated, we don't know what you mean by �Adobe docs.� I assume that by �ppt docs� you are referring to printed output from Microsoft PowerPoint presentation files. Adobe applications other than FrameMaker generate their own PostScript. The driver is only minimally involved in device-dependent directive generation. Virtually all PowerPoint PostScript output is generated by the driver itself. Remember that the �HP LaserJet 4000� printer does not have Adobe PostScript (it has a third party emulation of PostScript) and as such, problems with that printer (and there have been quite a number) are not our area of expertise. Have the performance problems just recent occurred or have they existed all along? You might want to pose your question on a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet-specific forum elsewhere or contact Hewlett-Packard technical support directly. - Dov
