I am testing distiller, and was wondering if anyone knows a way to automate teh path to the 'in' folder. In word, its OK, as you get an open window where ou can browse. In excel and other apps, you just get a single window prompting for a filename. Our test users have been typing in the filename, and then cannot find the pdf file. Is there a way to preconfigure so that by default, the PS file goes to teh correct in folder.

Andrew, Our software, Virtual Port Monitor, automates the entire print to file process. You simply attach a Postscript printer to a Virtual Port, and print to that printer. Using the configuration dialog, you can preset the output folder, the automatic filename option, and optionally choose an application to run after the job is spooled, such as a distilling application. Printers that use Virtual Ports can be shared on the network and the files generated can have the computer or user name as part of the filename, or the file can be spooled to a subfolder based on the computer name or user name. http://www.alphatronics.com/AVPMon.html Greg Andrew_Dozza@adobeforums.com wrote in message news:<3bb59743.-1@webx.la2eafNXanI>... > I am testing distiller, and was wondering if anyone knows a way to automate teh path to the 'in' folder.
