I've the following strange problem: When I make a EPS-file on 2 different pc's from the same CAD-drawing, the file-size is on the 1st pc 3,3 Mb and on the 2nd pc 33 Mb. I'm using the Adobe Postscript Printerdriver, recently downloaded, with the PPD-file of our large-format LED-plotter, both on the 2 pc's The 1st pc has WinXP as OS and the 2ng pc Win98SE. The used driver en PPD-file are exactly the same. The EPS-file is maked on the same manner: Print to the EPS-printer, wich has port FILE: How is this possible? Probably is there anyone who can help me to solve this problem? TIA. Gerwin (Sorry for my bad English)

You should realise that Windows XP and WIndows 98 are completely, utterly, different systems. Although they can run the same applications, they cannot run the same drivers. Drivers for Windows NT systems and Windows 9x systems have to be written again, from scratch. Hence, differences of many kinds are not only possible but likely. You essentially have to live with the driver you have on each system, and how it is written. It's good to see that the newer technology is doing better - sometimes things go backwards. Aandi Inston

OK, thanks for your answer. I'll make the EPS-files on the WinXP-machine. Regards Gerwin
