Get this error in RIP on a HP CP1700. Rips to about99% then gives error: typecheck, offendingcommand:add. Printing from Pagemaker 7.01 to CP1700 via rip and LPT1. Used both HP1700 PPD and generic driver. I have been able to find any info on this particular command. Any help?

Is this one specific job, or everything from PageMaker?

If it is one specific job, it could be a bad EPS graphic.

This is one specific job, and I forgot to note that it prints out fine using a Lexmark Optra N printer, using it's PPD, so the problem is related to the CP1700 PPD or generic PPD I assume.

Try this: if under Options you have Data encoding: binary, try ASCII.
