Hi, I have a tungsten E2 Palm. I have installed Adobe Reader for Palm. I have two types of pdf - unprotected and protected DRM adobe files (purchased). I transfer the files using the Digital Editions > My digital editions (which takes an age) within Adobe Reader 7.0 (I have activated both my copy of adobe on my laptop and on my palm). On the Palm, I can view the unprotected pdf's but although I can see the protected pdf in the adobe palm reader menu when I try to open it up I get a brief blank page flash then it goes back the menu again. (have tried removing it and re-uploading). Its about 4Mb. Any ideas anyone???

Comiseration only from me! I posted the virtually identical problem in January; email support said to use telephone customer service; which sent me back here. So know that if you have wisdom on this topic, you will being helping out two people at least. Thanks.

Ok, i've found a partial solution to the problem. Download and install a trial version of Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional. Choose the "Adobe Printer" and then it will "print" to create a new PDF which you can re-name - this PDF will have no copy protection. Word of warning - My 5MB pdf became a 51MB PDF! (and took 2 hourse to parse) Now, you can use the Adobe Reader for Palm app to transfer the file to your PDA - next problem, when I transfer the file (works fine, has been redu), but try to open it I receive the following error "Fatal Alert: MemoryMgr.c, Line:3732, NULL handle" and I get the option to reset and thats it! Any ideas anyone?

Sorry, a bit of an amendment to make. When you use the "print" option you need to do it from the web based digital editions viewer and choose Adobe printer (if you do it from Acrobat it keeps telling me that I need to install a printer even though I have a few there and can select them...another example of crappy adobe software). My only solution to getting round the size of the pdf file is to do carve up the pdf into smaller PDF's, so for my 200 page PDF i've printed 1-50, 51-99 etc so hopefully (haven't finished yet) should be able to view them on my PDA without it crashing
