I use an English device but I can see accented chars on my device. Actually I can see them for some files that have been converted from pdf. I have noticed that the issue comes up for files that do not use Windows Embedded Fonts, but I have been unable to find out how to force my Writer to not use embedded Custom fonts, which may be the cause of this trouble
