When opening a scanned image of a signed document (created on an HP9100c scanner) I can either make the document text searchable using PaperCapture or I can print the file to Distiller with a custom Joboption to set certain parameters such Fast Web View (among others), but I can't do both. In other words, if I operate on the file first with PaperCapture to create a text searchable image and then try to print the file to Adobe Distiller with my custom joboption selected, the resulting file will no longer be text searchable. Conversely, if I first print the file to Distiller to set Fast Web View and the other settings and then run the file through PaperCapture, the original joboption settings are lost.

What am I doing wrong?
