As for installing or updating progs on it I would imagine you 'could' do it via an IR setup but I have never done it this way. I brought a serial lead for my M515 to hotsync to my works PC, (and keep my USB cradle at home) from ebay for a fiver (UK), this would get over the problem of USB not working. My hotsync is version 4.0 BTW. Adam S
