As others already told you, there is neither any (standard) way to upgrade the HotSync program on the device alone nor should there be any necessity for this. Have you ever tried synching your Palm with another PC? Is it working there (with your cradle or with another cradle)? Have you tried the standard procedure for the SUDS problem (a repairable problem with the Palm side USB controller, just *completely* empty the palm battery by disabling the automatic switch-off feature and recharge it afterwards for at least four hours before switching it on)?
