Page numbers on large documents

In selecting the Pages tab > Options > Number Pages, I've successfully left the first two pages blank (no page numbers) and numbered the next three, i, ii, and iii. Then I numbered the remaining 163 pages 1-163. The numbers appear correctly in the sample pages under the Pages tab, but the only numbers that actually show/print on the documents are the i's.

Any ideas on I get the page numbers to show/print on the remaining pages?
