I bought an ebook and can't see it on my palm. i read that there is a size limit on the palm pdf around 6 mb. The ebook is around 4 mb on the pc but when adobe converts it to the palm format its around 11 mb. Why does the size nearly triple when converting to the palm format (smaller would make a whole lot more sense)??!! Anyway, anyone know a work around. Can I break the book up into multiple files. Or is there a way to not have my file blow up in size?

It's larger because vector graphics (or text that appears to be part of the graphics) has been converted to raster graphics. However, if the file was 4MB in the first place, there must already be a lot of raster grpahics. I vaguely remember that you can select a lower resolution for the graphics, but that may make them difficult to read.

I'm guessing now, but does it make heavy use of custom encoded fonts? If it does, the desktop component won't know which character code to send to the Palm, so may resort to rendering the text as graphics.
