Yes, I want to save the .fdf data file WITHOUT having to email it to myself first, which is just a pain. I want to save the fdf file so it can just be opened again for further editing. This was possible in Version 7 (worked well in fact, which is why so many of our internal company forms have been designed to work this way). I can't believe Adobe have deliberately removed this functionality, as it is still documented in the help. The version 8 help describes it working in exactly the same way it worked in version 7, only it doesn't! Is it a bug, or do I have some preferences setting wrong or something? Either way it's a major disaster because my company now has loads of forms designed to work this way and none of them work now. :-(
