Mike, I don't want to hijack the thread and such, but... Reader 7 worked perfectly since the first revision and at the time being, with more than 150 applications installed on my Mac and even more tested, I found only three (3) applications giving troubles... "Myst IV: Revelation", but changing the case of the first letter of a file was enough; D2X-XL (Descent 2 for Mac), but I am in touch with the developers, willing to help and to solve the problem; the HP software suite for printers, but only the latest version, the version released one year ago was fine.
Oh, and Adobe Reader 8.

Four application over more than 150 and in more than 2 years of use, not the whole world of everyday software.

And, really... it's only a matter of trying to compile and debug the Reader in a Case-sensitive formatted partition, all the errors would come out easily. Time required: far less than one week, IMHO (I developed software but I never had such a big project where a case sensitive problem could arise from).

Anyway, it's not a matter of decades, it's a matter of days, but I understand that I cannot demand this from Adobe, since the Reader is free. If I were a professional user, I would be noisier :-), but I will stop this thread here. I installed Reader 7 and that's all.

[I wonder what will happen if (when?) Apple will switch to ZFS or similar filesystems... the problem would arise anyway, and for the whole user base, not a nice situation for sure]
