Does anyone know how you would go about trying to install Acrobat Reader onto a portable device such as a flash drive or cd that would be able to run off of the portable device on any computer? The problem I am having is at work we create manual CD's that run a self executing version of Acrobat Reader 5 but that is no one working properly now that I have Acrobat Professional 8.0. This way our customers do not have to install everything and they can use the manual .pdf file from the Acrobat reader on the CD. We were thinking that the version of reader we were trying to use is too old. I tried to install Acrobat Reader 8 onto a flash drive and then use those program files instead of the older Acrobat Reader 5 files and it wouldn't work, saying it was missing a generic windows file according to an error message. The file it was missing in the error message is MSVCP71.dll.

Any ideas?
