I've had major problems with Adobe Reader 8 when trying to read digital books for my online class. I tried to delete it and reload Adobe 7 but receive that error 1714 the older version of Adobe Rader 7 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group. I loaded Microsoft Windows Install Cleanup but continued to get the same error message after removing Adobe products from that list. I did a search on the computer and deleted everything with Adobe in the name. Still receive the message. So I downloaded Adobe Reader 8 again.

Now when I try to pull up my texts I get a pop-up that tells me to download Digital Editions. Did that...but it will not add my texts to the library. The message I get is:

JavaScript Window Protected pdf - Error Problem OxViTR0005

They are protected documents. When I try to re-download the documents I am told to enter my username and password (University of Phoenix) but nothing happens.

Any suggestions?
