Jim, I had Norton on my system for eons. Every PC since Windows 3.1 owned had some version of Norton Utilities. My Mac also had versions of Norton Utilities. I am now Symante- free except for a PC that my work-owns. It has the enterprise version of NAV. The problems NU introduces are greater (for me) than the problems they fix. Peter Norton has had nothing to do with the product for eons. Symmantec has a reputation of purchasing great products and running them into the ground without much investment in the product. Norton Utilities was the great exception. I think their anti-virus protection on the Windows side is still ok, but there are better alternatives. I understand where you are coming from, but it may be worth your while to explore the alternatives. ...Mike
