Error 1402 HELP!!!

When trying to update Acrobat Reader - any version, I get the following message: Error: 1402 Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\AcroExch.Document\Shell|Open\Command. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or conatct your support personnel. ??? This is my home computer. I have no idea what to do. Please help! Thank you.
