whenever trying to open a PDF whether by opening the file from within adobe via file/open, launching adobe via double clicking on the PDF or opening one via a link to a web page or an attached email it all causes this error. other users can sign on to the PC and it works fine. I thought possibly a corrupt user profile so I deleted the user and recreated it, still no go. I pulled up Event Viewer and I am getting an Event ID 1000, Type Error, Source Application Error, description is Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module acropdf.dll, version 7.0.8.0, fault address 0x0002fdb3. the user has admin rights to the PC itself, I know I've seen mention of users not having access to the application data folder for adobe, which causes it not to be able to write tmp files to allow it to open but I would assume that not to be the case. any help would be greatly appreciated.
