Adobe Reader 7.0 + IE 6.0 issue

I am using adobe reader 7.0.1 and IE 6 on windows XP and have come across an issue. When I open a popup window using a JS function to display a PDF doc it works fine the first time. However, if the window is left open and I try to open the PDF again, this doc should display in the same window it opened the fist time.

In this case, I get a JS error "Member not found".It is like the window.open command cannot no longer find the window.

This worked perfectly in version 6.

Does anyone have any idea what I could do to resolve this issue?
