I am using Adobe Reader 9 plugin for Internet Explorer.

How may I configure it so that if I PDF has bookmarks it DOES NOT open the bookmarks panel by default. I only want to see bookmarks if I specifically click a button to show them.

Can this be done?

Please tell me how!
